Stop the Blame Game

I am tired of throwing loaded soda cans at my t.v. (and tired of buying new ones from Wal-Mart) everytime some "conservative" like Glenn Beck gets into bed with Sharpton by dignifying him by placing him on a prime time television show.

When will the madness stop?  The only person that Al Sharpton ever truly represented was James Brown.  For that, at least, he deserves credit.  But please would someone tell white America that the emperor really has no clothes, that Al Sharpton is not a civil rights leader, that any honest man could never stand with an unrepentant liar.  Tough talk I know.  But I am tired of buying new televisions.

How could this shameless self-promoter who fomented one of the most racially divisive scandals in urban history (Tawana Brawley) be considered a "leader" or "representative" by anyone.  It's time that righteous blacks and whites denounce this man and his victimization movement which enervates and confuses those blacks willing to give him an ear.

Black Americans need to stop playing the blame game.  Colin Powell and Condoleeza Rice are proof that Dr. KIng's dream is being realized in this great nation-- that the vast majority of Americans are prepared to judge men and women not by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

But if the dream is becoming reality, we need to reject the nightmare that is Al Sharpton and his associates.
